Sunshine on a rainy day
Emily and Jack decided to get married at Emily's grandparents' gorgeous estate in Phoenix, Arizona, and despite the unpredictable weather, their day couldn't have been full of more joy, love and laughter. If there were a couple to get rained on, it was these two! Thankfully, we also were able to capture all the incredible details put together by the team at Bash Boulevard before the sky opened up, and the party that ensued welcomed the chaos. Guests took shelter in the garage with their dinner from Doughlicious Pizza and huddled up to listen to words from the maid of honor, best man (brother of the groom), and father of the bride. Afterwards everyone took to the (dangerously slick) dance floor and slipped and slid their way through the rest of the evening.
They said their vows and held a traditional Catholic Mass at the groom's home church, Saint Frances Xavier, under gorgeous iconography and white marble pillars. While the church was large, their ceremony still felt intimate and heartfelt as those gathered there stood to witness their union.
I'm probably a little biased on the beauty of the day (but just look for yourself!) because this family means so much to me — I've done no less than ten weddings over the past 7 years for the groom's extended family, and they feel like my own at this point. It was the honor of a lifetime to bring Emily and Jack into my client fold and let them have their turn as bride and groom.
